Job summary

Specialty Building Products seeks a Regional Operations Performance Manager for the Mid-Central region to elevate how work is completed and standards are applied across locations.

You will work with Divisional VPs, Regional Directors, Branch Managers and front-line staff to drive improvements in service, productivity, quality and cost, using data to solve problems and ensure sustained change.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business or related field; related experience may be considered.
• At least five years of increasing responsibility in distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or operations across multiple locations.
• Experience leading improvement projects with measurable results.
• Ability to analyze operational and financial data using Excel; Power BI or similar tools is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with executives, managers, supervisors, and front-line employees even without direct reporting lines.
• Travel requirements of 50-70%, including overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional projects, improvement meetings, and problem-solving efforts.
• Implement operations-improvement programs and tailor rollout per location while maintaining standards.
• Review warehouse, transportation, manufacturing, inventory and office processes for delays and improvement opportunities.
• Create clear work procedures, visual tools, daily operating reviews, labor plans and performance checks.
• Coordinate work among Operations, Sales, Transportation, Technology, Safety, HR, Finance and others.
• Develop practical standards, tools, and resources for branches with the Operations Performance Strategy Team.
