Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales Rep -- Trench Safety in Houston to be the go-to contact for underground trench safety equipment rental and supplies. You will expand revenue and build strong relationships with contract companies and building contractors.

You will demonstrate products, set up demonstrations, plan sales actions, and use Salesforce.com to nurture a healthy pipeline. The role offers base salary plus monthly commissions and a minimum onboarding incentive; travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of sales experience.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, organizational, communication and negotiation skills.
• A valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maximize revenue from facilities and construction sites in a defined territory.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and their subsidiary companies.
• Demonstrate and train customers on trench safety products.
• Call potential customers to set up demonstrations and on-site visits.
• Prepare sales action plans and strategies.
• Collaborate with other reps to promote cross-selling.
• Utilize Salesforce.com and other CRM tools to manage pipeline.
