Job summary

The Summit Bechtel Reserve in Glen Jean, WV seeks a friendly and reliable team member to welcome High Adventure guests and support evening program activities. You will greet trek guests, share information on dining hall, store hours, and help with check-in and safety procedures.

Responsibilities include guiding guests, coordinating camp activities, completing an end-of-season report with operational improvements, and upholding the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18+.
• General computer skills (Excel, Word) and ability to navigate software systems.
• Valid driver license and ability to obtain Summit Driving Permit.
• Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening).
• Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication.

Physical & Practical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and hike and up to 10 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 70 pounds


• Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines


• Housing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45 - 55
