Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Ohio seeks a Trimmer/Climber (DL Required) to trim, tops, and reshape trees to create clearance for utility powerlines and protect public safety while performing essential equipment maintenance.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires working outdoors, driving or operating trucks, and following safety procedures. A High School Diploma is preferred; EOE. DL required; pre-employment screens may apply; benefits vary by tenure and location. Pay is hourly and competitive.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No fear of heights.
• Excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
• Able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces while performing demanding work.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Trim and/or remove trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service required tools/equipment.
• Cut and split large debris into manageable pieces.
• Spray areas with equipment to prevent further growth.
• Load/unload trucks.
• Feed brush & debris into woodchipper.
• Relays hand-signals and directs traffic.
• Keeps trucks and work area clear and orderly.
