Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber (DL Required) for full-time, non-exempt work in Virginia. The role involves trimming and removing trees, operating tools and equipment, and maintaining job-site safety and order.

You may also assist training new employees and work with crews to manage debris and yard areas. The position emphasizes hands-on outdoor work, requires a valid driver's license, and pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No fear of heights.
• Excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
• Able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces while performing demanding work.
• Able to labor with hands above head for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service tools and equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces.
• Sprays areas with equipment to prevent regrowth.
• Loads/unloads trucks and feeds brush into woodchipper.
• Repairs minor job-related damage to lawns, fences, and walkways.
• Relays hand-signals, directs traffic, and operates trucks.
• Sets up barriers and warning signs to protect employees and public.
• Maintains good housekeeping on trucks and work sites.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
