Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Manitowoc, Wisconsin is seeking a Trimmer Trainee to join our field crew. This full-time, non-exempt role focuses on safety, physical outdoor work, and supporting tree trimming operations.

You will learn to operate equipment, trim and remove trees, and assist in training new hires, with opportunities for growth in a tireless outdoor environment. A valid driver's license is preferred; no prior experience required for entry-level; competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, or at various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces, performing mentally/physically demanding work under unfavorable weather conditions while handling equipment or material.
• No fear of heights.
• Must have good hand-to-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Loads/unloads trucks.
• Feeds brush & debris into a woodchipper.
• Repairs minor job-related damage to lawns, fences, and walkways.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area.
• Keeps trucks and work areas clear and orderly.
• Performs other related work, as assigned by superiors.
