The position requires endurance, balance, and the ability to work outdoors, with potential driving responsibilities and a background check as part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or education equivalent preferred.
• Must possess physical strength and balance to drag heavy limbs, use saws and pruners on uneven terrain.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to hear verbal instructions and communicate with others.
• Must have a Driver's License if hired for a driving position.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform work from the ground including clearing brush and trees and site cleanup.
• Follow safe practices, keep work areas clear, and load/unload gear.
• Operate tools such as hand pruners, loppers, and gas-powered chain saws as directed.
• Load logs and debris, feed brush into chipper, and set up road signs.
• Flag traffic to protect employees and the public; drive trucks or operate other equipment as assigned.
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks and equipment and report major repairs.
