Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts in Alburgh, Vermont seeks a Bucket Operator to safely operate a bucket truck and remove branches from electrical lines under supervision. A valid driver’s license is required, and strong safety practices are essential.

Two years of vegetation management experience and bucket truck operation are required. Familiarity with woodchippers, skid steers with mulchers, and proper maintenance of equipment is preferred. This is a full-time role with benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in Vegetation Management.
• Bucket truck operation experience required.
• Knowledge of daily maintenance and safe operations of all equipment used.
• Able to hear verbal instructions from a distance.
• Must have a driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must have skid steer w/ mulcher operation experience.
• Experience operating woodchipper.
• Split dump driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a bucket truck to remove branches from electrical lines.
• Follow safety practices and enforce safety rules.
• Assist in preparing equipment and materials for each day’s work.
• Operate equipment as directed by Foreperson.
• Help maintain and repair equipment and tools.
• Assist crew members and lead when required.
• Clean up and dispose of debris.
• Set up barriers, signs, flags, and markers to protect people and property.
• Report mileage and submit timesheets and billing information in AMS.
• Perform duties for storm work as needed.
• Maintain above standard customer relations and report accidents.
