Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Bucket Operator to assist with tree clearing along power lines. You will operate an aerial bucket truck to reach branches interfering with electrical lines and coordinate access with property owners.

The role emphasizes safe practices, customer relations, and teamwork on a field crew. Prior experience and a valid CDL are preferred for this full-time, non-exempt position.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be familiar with electrical hazards and safety procedures.
• Ability to identify tree and shrub species in varied conditions.
• Requires physical energy, twisting, some lifting, and good hand-eye coordination.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; 1+ year industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, directs, checks, and coordinates work.
• Obtains permission from property owners to trim or remove trees; coordinates access.
• Maintains customer relations and ensures safe, professional conduct on crew.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets.
• Safeguards workers and the public from hazards in the work area.
• Sets up barriers, signs, and markers to protect people and property.
• Operates and services equipment including buckets, saws, and sprayers.
• Operates a bucket near energized lines to remove branches.
• Performs tree and bucket rescue; trains new personnel.
