Job summary

XKIG is seeking a Tree Climber to perform climbing, pruning, and removal of trees. A valid driver's license and 1–2 years of professional experience in line clearance are required. The role involves loading logs, brush, and debris, and using pole saws, pruners, and gas-powered chain saws.

Applicants must pass a background check and drug screen. Allianz benefits include health coverage and 401K options. Travel may be required for storm restoration work as needed.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of knots, ropes and rigging devices used in tree trimming and removal operations.
• Ability to climb/descend trees using rope and safety saddle.
• Emergency rescue techniques and basic first aid knowledge.
• Familiarity with electrical hazards and operating procedures near conductors.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe practices and enforce safety rules on site.
• Climb, prune and remove trees per Foreperson directions.
• Load/unload equipment and feed debris into chipper.
• Operate hand tools, gas-powered saws, and PPE as required.
• Perform storm work duties when needed.
