Santa Rita Landscaping is seeking a Tree Climber Specialist for the Four Peaks Arbor Division in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of verified climbing experience, the ability to prune and maintain a variety of trees, and a strong focus on safety and standards.

The role offers a four 10-hour day schedule with Fridays off, PPE guidance, and training. Compensation ranges from $25 to $35 per hour, with opportunities for advancement and benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of verifiable tree climbing experience.
• Experience with palms and trees 20–75+ ft tall.
• Familiar with ISA and ANSI safety standards; PPE and rigging knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and perform proper pruning and safety practices.
• Climb living and dead trees using proper PPE and rigging techniques.
• Maintain and operate equipment; follow production and quality standards.
• Be available Fridays, weekends, and during Monsoon season as needed.

Job Description

Four Peaks Landscape Managementis a full-service commercial landscape company located in and servicing the Phoenix area. We pride ourselves on reliability, commitment, innovation, and integrity. The Four Peaks’ Arbor Division is growing exponentially, and we are ready to add another member to our team. We are looking for a Tree Climber Specialist, the ideal candidate would have the following.

• Personal Climbing Equipment –Required
• 3 Years of Verified Climbing Experience –Required
• Valid AZ Driver’s License with Clean Driving Record–Required

Experience and Training:

The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of verifiable work as a tree climber. Experience with climbing palms and all species of trees ranging in height from 20 foot to 75+ foot tall. You need to be familiar with the species names and common health concerns to follow proper pruning practices that are species dependent.

The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of and follow standards set forth by the ISA and ANSI for safety, including wearing proper PPE, jobsite procedures, demonstrating proper climbing techniques, knowledge of approved knots, and familiarization with rigging systems.

Aerial Rescue courses will be provided annually, as well as weekly Tailgate Safety Meetings, and in-house training from (3) of our ISA Certified Arborists. We currently operate on a four 10-hour day schedule; you will always have Fridays off.

Full Job Description:

• Demonstrateand perform proper pruning and safety practices.

Ability to work safely and efficiently in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold

• Climbingliving and dead trees, using proper PPE, rigging techniques and equipment, trimming and removing varieties of trees in all sizes.
• Knowledgeas an equipment operator with Skid Loaders, Hydraulic and Manual Stump Grinders, Chainsaws, Brush Chippers, Extension Power Pruners, Etc.
• Knowledgeof how to properly maintain company equipment provided. (i.e. sharpening chainsaw chains, cleaning air filters, and lubing grease points on equipment, etc.)
• Supportand receive direction for work to be completed and be held accountable for production and quality standards.
• Mustbe available to work during the following when necessary: Fridays, Weekends, Emergency Call Outs, Monsoon Storm Season.

Four Peaks Landscape Management Compensation and Benefits

• Non-Certified Tree Climber $20 - $33 Per Hour DOE
• Pay can be negotiated for an experienced candidate with certifications

• This is for Full-Time Employment, No annual layoffs with year-round work.
