Job summary

BrightView Landscapes in Dallas is seeking a Climber I to join our tree care team. The role covers pruning, cabling, bracing, lightning protection, and tree removals, with support for site clearing and debris disposal.

You will perform basic tree work up to 60 feet, follow safety protocols, operate chippers and blowers, and wear required PPE. Strong work ethic and outdoors work in varying weather are essential; certification can be pursued.

Qualifications

• Demonstration of role specific skills or verifiable requisite experience.
• Able to follow directions and established procedures related to roping and rigging, maintenance of equipment, adjustments to equipment, and reporting malfunctioning equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate effectively and use hand signals with climbers to ensure safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic tree care operations such as pruning and limb removal up to 60 feet.
• Access trees safely according to company protocols; move through canopy and remove branches without damage.
• Safely operate powered equipment such as chippers, trucks, and blowers.
• Possess basic to intermediate chainsaw skills and técnicas for ground-based and canopy-based work.
• Use hand tools (saws, pruners, poles, rakes, shovels) to perform tree care tasks.
• Wear and maintain PPE per industry standards and company protocols.
• Maintain safe and organized work zones; prevent property damage and personal injury.
