Job summary

Priority Management Group’s Camelot Brookside in Jennings, LA is seeking a Monday - Friday RN Treatment Nurse for the day shift to provide primary skin care under medical direction.

The ideal candidate is a Louisiana-licensed RN with a high school diploma (or equivalent) who can assess wounds, debride, document for Medicare, and collaborate with the care team on treatment plans.

Our Treatment Nurses provide primary skin care to residents under the medical direction and supervision of the residents’ attending physicians, the Director of Nursing Services, or the Medical Director of the facility, with an emphasis on treatment and therapy of skin disorders. Treatment Nurses also assist in modifying the treatment regimen to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident, in accordance with established medical practices and the requirements of this state and the policies and goals of this facility.

Qualifications - Education/Certification

• Registered Nurse that is licensed and in good standing with the State
• Must possess, as a minimum, a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Assess and monitor wounds

• Work with the care team to determine if antibiotics, surgery, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, or other treatments are needed
• May work in a specialty capacity to care for ostomies, diabetic foot care, and more
• Educates patients and caretakers on wound care, infection and injury prevention, and pressure ulcer care and prevention for those who are bedridden or have limited mobility
• Completes proper documentation for Medicare reimbursement and writes orders to promote wound healing and the prevention of skin breakdown
