Job summary

Priority Management Group is seeking a RN Treatment Nurse to join The Woodlands Healthcare Center in Leesville, LA. The role centers on providing primary skin care to residents under medical direction, emphasizing treatment and therapy of skin disorders.

You will collaborate with the care team to adjust treatment regimens, perform wound assessment and care, and document for Medicare reimbursement to support wound healing and skin prevention. A valid RN license is required.

Qualifications

• Assess and monitor wounds
• Debride, clean, and bandage wounds
• Determine if antibiotics, surgery, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, or other treatments are needed
• May care for ostomies, diabetic foot care, and more
• Educates patients and caretakers on wound care, infection and injury prevention, and pressure ulcer care
• Completes Medicare documentation and writes orders to promote wound healing and prevent skin breakdown

Responsibilities

Education

Our Treatment Nurses provide primary skin care to residents under the medical direction and supervision of the residents' attending physicians, the Director of Nursing Services, or the Medical Director of the facility, with an emphasis on treatment and therapy of skin disorders. Treatment Nurses also assist in modifying the treatment regimen to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident, in accordance with established medical practices and the requirements of this state and the policies and goals of this facility.

QualificationsEducation/Certification:

• Registered Nurse that is licensed and in good standing with the State


• Must possess, as a minimum, a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications:

• Completes proper documentation for Medicare reimbursement and writes orders to promote wound healing and the prevention of skin breakdown
