Job summary

Allied OMS is seeking a personable Treatment Coordinator to bridge surgeons, patients, and referring offices through the surgical journey—from consultation to completion. The role emphasizes clarity, comfort, and confidence for patients at every step.

Experience in oral surgery or dental practice is a plus but not required. This full-time position offers competitive pay and benefits within a doctor-led MSO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Previous experience in a dental, oral surgery, or medical office strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with dental/medical terminology, CDT coding, and insurance processes a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable discussing treatment and finances with patients.
• Proficiency with practice management software (e.g., Dolphin, Dentrix, Open Dental) and general computer skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and genuine compassion for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide concierge-level customer service in person, by phone, and electronically.
• Present treatment plans to patients, explaining recommended procedures in clear, accessible terms.
• Prepare and present cost estimates and financial arrangements prior to treatment.
• Verify and maintain patient insurance information; explain coverage and out-of-pocket costs.
• Collect patient payments and manage financial agreements.
• Schedule and coordinate surgical appointments to optimize the doctor's schedule.
• Communicate with referring dental and medical offices regarding patient treatment status.
• Partner closely with clinical staff to ensure a seamless, coordinated patient experience.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
• Follow up with patients on pending treatment plans and outstanding balances.
