Pivotal Solutions in New York is seeking a Treasury & Financial Systems Analyst to assist the Head of Treasury in managing daily to annual financial operations. The role blends core treasury execution with designing and building internal tools to speed and improve accuracy.

Responsibilities include forecasting, reconciliation, cash application, and developing web apps, with a focus on data handling, validation, and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• 1–3 years in treasury, cash management, accounting, financial operations, or similar analytical finance role.
• Advanced Excel: complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data models.
• Experience building internal tools, scripts, or small web applications; CS degree not required but shipped work evidence.
• Understanding of frontend/backend design and data integration for small web apps.
• Familiarity with version control (Git).
• Strong written communication and ability to explain tech tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and deadline-driven delivery.
• Learning mindset at finance/tech intersection; adaptable to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Forecast cash daily, weekly, and monthly across programs and funding sources.
• Reconcile daily cash activity across bank accounts and apply receipts.
• Build and maintain Excel models and reporting workbooks for treasury needs.
• Design, build, and maintain small internal web apps and utilities.
• Translate finance requirements into working software with UI, data handling, and validation.
• Automate recurring workflows currently done with spreadsheets or manual data entry.
• Research technologies with potential finance/ops use and assess build-vs-buy options.
• Act as liaison between Treasury/Finance and technical stakeholders or vendors.
• Identify opportunities to modernize processes and data transfers between platforms.
