Job summary

The State of Florida is seeking a GOVERNMENT ANALYST II in Tallahassee to manage the credit card acceptance program and related contracts. The role requires government accounting expertise and strong data analysis skills, with a focus on compliance and reporting.

Responsibilities include contracting with financial institutions, coordinating with contractors and agencies, and ensuring PCI/DSS compliance. Office-based position with no telework and a monthly payroll cycle.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of professional accounting experience with the State of Florida.
• Two (2) or more years of experience dealing with the public and/or other state agencies.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Exercises discretion and independent judgment while administering and maintaining the credit card acceptance program.
• Establish and maintain a contractual relationship with the financial institution and/or credit card processor.
• Manage the administrative functions related to establishing new credit card participation.
• Coordinate the program with the outside contractor and participating agencies.
• Procurement, renewal and updating of the credit card and e-Commerce contracts.
• Communicate with the Cash Management Financial Administrator to keep abreast of current laws.
• Develop, distribute, and collect respondents’ data in the Annual CFO e-payment report.
• Maintain organized files and records related to the functions above.
