Job summary

The Department of Children and Families in Tallahassee is seeking a Government Analyst II to perform complex financial and operational analysis of contracts with community-based care and managing entity organizations. The role will involve data collection, regulatory monitoring, and report preparation, working with minimal supervision.

Ideal candidates will have a finance or data analysis background, strong Excel skills, and the ability to communicate findings clearly in writing and verbally;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Data Analysis preferred; or High School diploma/GED with 5+ years accounting/finance/business experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
• Knowledge of data collection and analysis methods
• Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data to develop recommendations
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Experience in child welfare services preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs complex financial and operational analysis of contracts with community-based care and managing entity organizations, including data collection, regulatory monitoring, and report preparation
• Incumbent will work independently with minimal supervision on financial monitoring, policy research, and procedure development
