Job summary

Bank of America in Providence, RI seeks an experienced credit underwriter to manage underwriting for Treasury and Card facilities. You will analyze financials, assess risk, and approve credit requests within approved grids, collaborating with relationship managers and risk teams to deliver sound credit solutions.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7+ years of COMMERCIAL underwriting and credit analysis.
• 3+ years of commercial credit decisioning with approval signature authority.
• Formal commercial credit training or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, underwrite, and approve credit solutions for Treasury and Card clients.
• Conduct credit analysis including financial spreads, risk rating scorecards, industry assessment.
• Evaluate credit worthiness and decide on Treasury or Card credit facilities.
• Ensure underwriting complies with policy and procedures.
• Partner with Relationship Managers and Risk teams to deliver credit solutions.
• Ensure data quality of credit-related client and deal information.
• Mentor and assist junior team members as applicable.
