The City of Greensboro Finance Department is seeking a Treasury Accountant to ensure accurate accounts payable processing and compliance with applicable requirements. You will oversee invoices, vendor records, and the preparation of 1099 forms, while supporting escheatment of unclaimed funds to the state.

• Bachelor's degree with 24 hours of accounting coursework.
• Or an Associate's Degree in Accounting/Business with 6+ years of accounting experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• 1+ year experience in accounting working with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee entry of purchase order invoices and verify non-PO invoices.
• Coordinate new Vendor setup within the City’s financial system.
• Review check requests for accuracy and supporting documentation.
• Read, interpret, and apply statutes and guidance from GFOA, IRS, and NC Department of Revenue.
• Assist with preparing the City’s Form 1099 tax reporting documents.
• Support the escheat process for unclaimed property and funds.
