Job summary

South Range Local School District Board of Education is seeking a qualified School Treasurer to lead the district's financial operations and reporting.

The Treasurer will oversee budget development, state and federal reporting, and the Five-Year Forecast, with a target start date of February 1, 2027.

Candidates should have or be able to obtain the Ohio Treasurer License and possess knowledge of Ohio school finance, law, and local tax structures.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio School Treasurer license or evidence obtainable.
• Experience as School Treasurer desirable but not required.
• Understanding of Ohio school law, school finance, and state software programs.
• Present financial data clearly using technology for timely reporting.
• Proficient with applications to access and disseminate information.
• Expertise with annual audit processes and credible reporting.
• Adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and deadlines.
• Knowledge of collective bargaining processes.
• Timely handling of public records requests.
• Integrity, loyalty, leadership and strong communication with staff, Superintendent and Board.
• Understanding of public school finance, budgets, payroll and operations.
• Knowledge of local tax structures and levies.
