Job summary

LMG in Columbia, MD is seeking a detail-oriented events coordinator to build and optimize technician schedules, source freelance labor, and coordinate travel and on-site logistics for live productions.

You will partner with project teams, manage availability data, communicate with technicians and vendors, and ensure staffing aligns with event timelines from pre-production through execution.

Location: Columbia, MD | Full Time | Pay Range: $19.75 - $23.80 per hour (Based on experience and qualifications)

What You'll Do
Build and optimize technician schedules
  • Coordinate technician assignments based on project requirements, schedules, skill sets, availability, and client preferences.
  • Help maximize technician utilization while determining when freelance contract labor is needed.
  • Maintain resource data, including technician proficiencies and availability records.
Secure the right talent for every event
  • Source and coordinate freelance contract labor when project needs require additional support.
  • Serve as a company representative when negotiating freelance labor rates and terms within established guidelines.
  • Align staffing decisions with event timelines and technical requirements.
Keep teams informed and aligned
  • Communicate critical event and scheduling information through email, text, phone calls, and internal systems.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to coordinate resource plans and event details.
  • Help resolve scheduling conflicts and support efficient labor allocation across projects.
Coordinate travel and logistics
  • Research and confirm travel arrangements for technicians and related personnel.
  • Evaluate travel options, determine costs, and secure approvals as needed.
  • Help create a smooth experience from pre-production through event execution.
Support operational accuracy
  • Review event quotes and database reports for accuracy.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure labor, scheduling, and event information remains current and reliable.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation supporting labor coordination needs.
