Job summary

Butterball is seeking team members to perform manual, repetitive tasks in turkey processing, cutting, and packaging. You will help ensure product safety, follow GMP/HACCP procedures, and support food safety initiatives in a fast-paced plant environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or be in a related program) and can work independently or in teams, with the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed; overtime, weekends, and varying shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or related preferred.
• Entry level does not require previous experience in a Production role.
• Self-directed with the ability to work independently as well as with groups.
• Ability to read and understand HACCP, FDA and OSHA requirements as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform varying manual, repetitive tasks to process meat from the turkeys.
• Ensure product safety and product defense in the plant.
• Follows all GMP and HACCP procedures relating to product safety.
• Supports all Food Safety initiatives.
• Some tasks are performed using tools or equipment; others are completed manually.
• Monitor equipment operation and report malfunctions or safety concerns.
• Rotate through various functions within the processing department as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned
