Job summary

Butterball is hiring for a production associate in North Carolina to perform manual and machine-assisted tasks in processing, cutting, and packaging turkey products while adhering to strict safety, quality, and sanitation standards. The role requires ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced processing plant.

Training in HACCP, FDA, and OSHA guidelines is expected. This entry-level position offers exposure to multiple functions across the processing team

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or related preferred
• Entry level does not require previous experience in a Production role
• Read and understand HACCP and related requirements as needed
• Ability to use utensils/tools

Responsibilities

• Perform manual, repetitive tasks to process meat from the turkeys.
• Ensure product safety and product defense in the plant.
• Follow GMP and HACCP procedures related to product safety in the facility.
• Support all Food Safety initiatives.
• Some tasks use tools or equipment, others are manual.
• Monitor equipment operation and report malfunctions or safety concerns.
• Rotate through various functions within the processing department as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned
