Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to support patient meals by assembling trays, delivering to floors, and keeping the dishroom and tray line clean and sanitary. You will monitor temperatures, restock supplies, and follow FIFO practices while delivering excellent customer service to patients and hospital staff.

Shifts vary: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 9:45 AM–6:15 PM, 1:30 PM–10:00 PM in the dishroom; 6:30 AM–3:00 PM for trayline and truck pusher roles, with onsite work at 273

Qualifications

• Must read, speak, write and understand English.
• Follow established procedures and meal service workflows.
• Monitor temperatures and ensure food quality and safety.
• Break down, restock and clean tray line and POD areas.

Responsibilities

• Assemble utensils, containers and plates for meal service.
• Deliver and retrieve food trays to patient floors and departments.
• Operate dishroom equipment and maintain sanitation standards.
• Rotate stock using FIFO and restock supplies as needed.
• Assist with monthly pest control preparation and general cleaning.
