Job summary

Verrus is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee data center construction projects from inception to completion. You will develop work scopes for bidding, enforce safety policies on site, manage on-site labor, and monitor contractor costs for forecasting.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, bring 5+ years of data center experience, and demonstrate strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related.
• 5+ years’ experience in mission critical data center projects from inception to completion.
• Excellent organisational skills and demonstrable attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of applicable contracts & legal provisions.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities while maintaining customer relations.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to resolve complex issues.
• Ability to be onsite at least five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in developing work scopes/front-end documents for bidding.
• Enforcing corporate safety policies on the job site, including pre-task safety planning and total on-site safety compliance.
• Managing the on-site labor force, supervising and coordinating contract work, reducing interference.
• Assisting in budget management and forecasting by controlling costs and monitoring potential changes from contractors.

The Candidate:

The appointed Superintendent will be expected to demonstrate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related
• 5+ years’ experience in mission critical - data center from inception to completion
• Excellent organisational skills and demonstrable attention to detail
• A strong understanding of applicable contracts & legal provisions
• Multi-tasking and competing priority handing between project delivery & non-critical review of incomplete assignments whilst maintaining an excellent relationship with customer
• Strong sense of urgency and the ability to resolve complex issues
• Ability to be onsite at least five days a week
