Job summary

Stratum Partners seeks a Superintendent to lead field operations on data center and mission-critical builds, with oversight of safety, quality, scheduling, and client relations on multi‑hundred million projects.

You'll drive preconstruction activities, manage site logistics, and coordinate with Procore/CMIC workflows while building a strong safety culture and Lean Last Planner methods. This hands-on leadership role requires 7–10+ years in site ops and 5+ years in data centers.

Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years leading site operations on ground-up commercial and/or data center construction.
  • At least 5 years specifically managing the build process for data center projects.
  • Working knowledge of building systems design as it relates to data center and mission critical facilities.
  • Comfortable working within Procore and/or CMIC.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of large, technically complex data center and mission critical builds, including projects exceeding $100M in value.
  • Play an active role in preconstruction - buyout, site logistics, and scheduling.
  • Build out operational plans and partner with the Business Development team on pursuits and client presentations.
  • Clearly communicate project strategy and the key drivers of a successful delivery.
  • Own financial tracking at the site level - reconciling trade contractor Schedule of Values against Work in Progress and issuing accurate, on-time payment applications.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of the project's Profit Plan and financial forecast.
  • Run Lean construction and Last Planner System training for site teams.
  • Drive a consistent weekly rhythm of Last Planner and continuous improvement sessions with staff and trade partners.
  • Solve complex core and shell construction challenges by leveraging both internal teams and trade partner expertise.
  • Lead constructability reviews and work cross-functionally to maintain a strong Quality Control program.
  • Continuously refine Weekly Work Plans and Pre-Task Plans to surface improvement opportunities.
  • Champion EH&S policy and Injury Free Environments principles, identifying safety training needs across the team.
  • Track leading and lagging safety indicators and review performance trends directly with trade partners.
