The role requires independent site leadership and ownership of execution from post-award review through to completion. The ideal candidate has a proven track record running complex sites, coordinating subcontractors, and delivering projects safely, profitably, and on schedule.

Qualifications

• 5–25 years of experience as Lead Superintendent.
• Ability to independently run a construction site.
• Commercial or industrial construction experience.
• Willingness to travel across the United States.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam and Excel.
• Valid driving licence.
• Meet physical requirements including standing, walking and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead all field operations across commercial/industrial projects.
• Own daily jobsite execution and timelines.
• Direct subcontractors and coordinate site teams.
• Attend post-award planning and drive construction scheduling.
• Ensure work meets specs, stays on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate subcontractors to maintain quality, productivity and programme requirements.
• Assist with progress and cost reports.
• Maintain communications with Project Manager on progress and issues.

Salary: USD160000 - USD180000 per annum

Location: Nationwide travel across the United States

A leading national design-build contractor is seeking experienced Travelling Lead Superintendents to deliver commercial and industrial construction projects across the United States.

They are looking for genuine site leaders who can independently run a project, take ownership of jobsite execution and manage the work from post-award review through to completion.

This opportunity is suitable for an experienced Superintendent, Lead Superintendent, Senior Superintendent or similar construction professional with a proven record of leading subcontractors, maintaining project schedules and delivering projects safely, profitably and to a high standard.

Responsibilities

Lead all field operations throughout every phase of commercial and industrial construction projects

Take full ownership of daily jobsite execution

Lead subcontractors, direct site teams and resolve conflicts effectively

Attend post-award review meetings and begin preconstruction planning

Partner with the Project Manager to develop the construction schedule, including activity sequencing, manpower and equipment requirements

Ensure work meets project specifications, remains on schedule and achieves profitability targets

Coordinate subcontractors to maintain quality, productivity and programme requirements

Assist with job progress and cost reports

Review requisitions, field purchase orders, invoices and key project documents

Maintain regular communication with the Project Manager regarding progress, upcoming work and any issues affecting cost or schedule

Complete accurate daily reports covering site conditions, progress, visitors, client discussions, commitments and approvals

Enforce the company's safety programme throughout the project

Lead with integrity and maintain the highest standards of safety, quality and client service

Requirements

Between 5 and 25 years of experience as a Lead Superintendent

Proven ability to independently run a construction site

Commercial or industrial construction experience

Willingness to travel throughout the United States

Strong leadership, communication and conflict-resolution skills

Proficiency with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel

A current and valid driving licence

Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including extended periods of standing and walking, working on uneven terrain, climbing stairs and lifting loads of up to 50 pounds

Vehicle allowance, per diem and living expenses on travelling projects
