Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Travelling Lead Superintendent to deliver commercial and industrial construction projects across the United States.

The role requires running site operations, directing subcontractors and coordinating with the Project Manager to keep work on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a Lead Superintendent, proven site leadership, and proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam and Excel.

Qualifications

  • Between 5 and 25 years of experience as a Lead Superintendent.
  • Proven ability to independently run a construction site.
  • Commercial or industrial construction experience.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the United States.
  • Strong leadership, communication and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel.
  • A current and valid driving licence.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing and walking for long periods, uneven terrain, stairs and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all field operations throughout every phase of commercial and industrial construction projects.
  • Take full ownership of daily jobsite execution.
  • Lead subcontractors, direct site teams and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Attend post-award review meetings and begin preconstruction planning.
  • Partner with the Project Manager to develop the construction schedule, including activity sequencing, manpower and equipment requirements.
  • Ensure work meets project specifications, remains on schedule and achieves profitability targets.
  • Coordinate subcontractors to maintain quality, productivity and programme requirements.
  • Assist with job progress and cost reports.
  • Review requisitions, field purchase orders, invoices and key project documents.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Project Manager regarding progress, upcoming work and any issues affecting cost or schedule.
  • Complete accurate daily reports covering site conditions, progress, visitors, client discussions, commitments and approvals.
  • Enforce the company’s safety programme throughout the project.
  • Lead with integrity and maintain the highest standards of safety, quality and client service.

A leading national design-build contractor is seeking experienced Travelling Lead Superintendents to deliver commercial and industrial construction projects across the United States.

They are looking for genuine site leaders who can independently run a project, take ownership of jobsite execution and manage the work from post-award review through to completion.

This opportunity is suitable for an experienced Superintendent, Lead Superintendent, Senior Superintendent or similar construction professional with a proven record of leading subcontractors, maintaining project schedules and delivering projects safely, profitably and to a high standard.
