Vestas is seeking a Traveling Wind Turbine Technician II with 100% travel across North America. The role is hourly, with potential overtime and earnings exceeding $100,000 per year.

You will travel to various sites, perform intermediate turbine maintenance and installation tasks, and document activities in SAP. Candidates should bring wind industry experience or related training and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Wind school or trade school or two years wind industry experience preferred.
• Proficient with power/tools such as hydraulic and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Valid driver's license and passport ability.

Responsibilities

• Travel 100% of the time with overtime as needed.
• Act as safety role model and ensure safety standards are followed.
• Demonstrate integrity and focus on safety and quality of work.
• Perform wind turbine maintenance and installation tasks with tools.
• Document tasks in the company system (e.g., SAP).
• Diagnose turbine issues and implement solutions with guidance as needed.
• Mentor junior technicians and support teamwork.
• Interface with customers and respond to inquiries as appropriate.
