Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Regional Training and Operations Technician to support multiple water and wastewater facilities across the assigned region in California. The role covers vacations, absences, and startup support, with extensive travel and hands-on training of local technicians.

You will assist in operations, maintenance, testing, and data recording, while developing training materials and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of wastewater treatment operations experience.
• Willingness to travel extensively and for extended periods.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete operational coverage of Veolia-operated facilities in the region during vacations and unplanned absences, including day and night shifts.
• Develop and deliver hands-on training visits and electronic training materials for local technicians.
• Ensure industry standards, lab procedures, and preventative maintenance practices are in use across facilities.
• Support new account start-up projects and coordinate with management to establish tasks and goals.
• Provide troubleshooting support and data-driven decisions for process optimization.
• Operate pumps, valves, and motors to regulate wastewater flow and collect testing samples.
• Maintain accurate records of chemicals, turbidity, and pressure; prepare reports as required.
