Osmose Utilities Services is seeking a dedicated pole inspector to join our field team in Vermont. You will learn inspection procedures, safety protocols, and industry standards to assess wooden utility poles and related equipment in outdoor environments.

The role requires extensive travel, year-round outdoor work, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs while maintaining thorough inspection records and reporting per regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Demonstrate leadership to ensure safe vehicle and equipment operations.
• Pass criminal background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Undergo training to understand utility pole inspections and safety protocols.
• Learn and apply inspection procedures to evaluate pole condition and integrity.
• Assist in identifying issues and contributing to a maintenance plan.
• Complete inspection records and report per codes/regulations.
• Collect field data and perform daily/weekly reporting activities.
• Maintain records for tools, electronics, vehicles, and equipment.
• Adhere to safety regulations and perform other duties as assigned.
