ARCO Design/Build is seeking a Traveling Superintendent for Tenant Improvement projects. You will lead on-site activities, coordinate multiple subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality while meeting schedules and budgets.

This role requires frequent travel to client sites and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. Join a long-standing family of construction companies delivering design-build solutions nationwide.

Qualifications

• 5-25 years of construction experience.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and project scheduling programs.
• OSHA certification and familiarity with safety protocols.
• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in your state of residence.
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Attend the post-award review meeting to receive project information and details for preplanning before construction.
• Participate with the project manager in preparing a schedule of construction activities and their sequence, organization structure, staff selection, and manpower/equipment needs.
• Direct and control the total construction project to meet specifications and within schedule for profitability.
• Assist the project manager/engineer with duties including prompt shipment of materials and obtaining approvals of shop drawings and samples.
• Coordinate subcontractors to integrate their work with project schedules and progress.
• Inform supervisors/subcontractors promptly of schedule changes.
• Assist in preparing all job progress and cost reports reflecting actual costs.
• Review and approve requisitions, field purchase orders, invoices, and significant reports.
• Cooperate with the owner and representatives, keeping them informed of construction progress.
• Cooperate with architects/owner representatives in the company’s long-term interest.
• Hold job site meetings with the project manager and regional manager.
• Report regularly to the project manager on progress, plans, and issues affecting costs/schedules.
• Maintain a daily diary recording significant project facts and approvals.
• Lead adherence to the company’s safety program across all project phases.
