Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Technical Trainer to lead and participate in technical and MSHA safety training for service technicians and customers. The role includes developing hands-on training materials and delivering both in-classroom and field instruction across multiple branches.

Travel to branches is frequent (70%+). A strong background in engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, along with proficiency in MS Office, is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of technical/heavy equipment repair experience.
• Expert knowledge of engines, powertrains, hydraulics, electrical, and braking systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide and participate in technical training, including manufacturer’s technical training and MSHA safety training.
• Develop and deliver hands-on training in classroom and field settings.
• Develop training materials and training methods to support adult learning.
• Deliver aerial platform safety training for staff and customers and provide MSHA safety training.
• Travel to branches and events (70% or more) to conduct training.
