Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Technical Trainer to deliver and participate in technical and MSHA safety training for service technicians and customers.

You will develop hands-on classroom sessions and training materials, and maintain a high standard of on-site attendance. The role requires five years of heavy equipment repair experience, strong knowledge of engines and hydraulics, and frequent travel to branches and technical schools.

Qualifications

• Five years of Technical/Heavy Equipment Repair experience required.
• Proficient with Engines, Powertrains, Hydraulics, Electrical, and Braking Systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based apps.
• Ability to travel frequently to other branches, technical schools, and events.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Acts as product expert to provide training to service technicians and customers on equipment repair and maintenance.
• Delivers hands-on and classroom training; develops training materials.
• Provides MSHA Safety Training for service personnel and sales reps.
• Assists with OSHA certified safety training for customers as requested.
• Travels 70% or more to each branch to provide training.
• Ensures consistent and reliable on-site attendance.
