Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Elmhurst, IL, is seeking a Training Specialist to deliver technical training programs, coach repair center staff, and ensure technicians acquire the knowledge to repair vehicles safely and correctly.

Role requires 5–7 years in the industry with at least 2 years of training delivery experience; post-secondary education preferred and a valid driver’s license. Travel up to 30–70% to visit centers and support ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of independently planning and organizing work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate, motivate and cooperate with all levels of staff.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including Internet, Google platform, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical training and courses in the assigned area of responsibility.
• Provide coaching to technicians regarding application of technical skills.
• Assess and document training effectiveness and retention.
• Visit repair centers to assess technical capabilities and coach staff.
• Develop and improve training clinics to teach repair skills.
• Ensure compliance with WOW plan and QC processes.
