Job summary

Matrix Service seeks a Tank Superintendent to support the Operations Manager by supervising field crews and equipment across multiple project sites. The role requires travel across states and strong coordination between Matrix personnel, QA/QC, and the customer to ensure projects meet design specs.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in site supervision of aboveground storage tanks and specialty vessels, with proven crew leadership, blueprint reading, and safety program implementation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Site Supervisory role is required.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Excellent understanding of Aboveground Storage Tanks and Specialty Vessels - focus on New Tanks, Cryogenic Tanks and Spheres is required.
• Experience running a crew is required.
• Ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field crews and equipment across project sites.
• Coordinate between field engineering, QA/QC, and customer to ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
• Lead pre-job planning, scheduling, and daily coordination meetings.
• Promote safety programs and maintain a positive safety culture.
• Review construction procedures and ensure adherence to policies and standards.
