Job summary

Matrix Service Company is seeking a Tank Superintendent to assist the Operations Manager with overseeing field crews and equipment, coordinating with QA/QC and the customer, and mentoring field personnel. The role involves travel to various project sites across multiple states throughout the year, including Florida, Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina and Texas.

The position requires 5+ years in site supervision, strong communication skills, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Site Supervisory role or similar leadership role.
• Excellent understanding of Aboveground Storage Tanks and Specialty Vessels.
• Experience running a crew and coordinating multiple trades.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret design drawings.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field crews/equipment and coordinate with QA/QC and customers.
• Mentor and coach field personnel and communicate safety expectations.
• Plan pre-job activities, scheduling, and labor/material needs.
• Ensure construction complies with drawings, specifications, and code requirements.
• Lead daily coordination meetings and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Provide training and process improvements to improve efficiency.
