Job summary

Matrix Service is seeking a Tank Superintendent to support the Operations Manager by overseeing field crews and equipment on projects across multiple states. The role requires travel to Florida, Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina and Texas as needed.

You will mentor field personnel, coordinate with QA/QC and clients, review drawings, and ensure compliance with safety, code and design requirements while maintaining project schedules.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Site Supervisory role.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Excellent knowledge of Aboveground Storage Tanks and Specialty Vessels.
• Experience running a crew.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Willingness to travel to multiple project sites in different states.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field crews/equipment and ensure work aligns with design specs.
• Coordinate between Matrix personnel, QA/QC and the customer/client.
• Mentor and coach field personnel.
• Plan and schedule with construction management.
• Review NDE and ensure code and customer requirements are met.
• Promote safety programs and maintain a safe work culture.
• Read drawings and ensure construction complies with specifications.
