Job summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Traveling Superintendent for Self Perform (AFG) to plan, manage and execute complex projects with a focus on safety, quality and on-time completion. You will travel to assigned projects nationwide, oversee self-perform work and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.

The role requires 5+ years in construction and 3+ years supervising field teams, plus a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
5+ years of construction experience; 3+ years in field supervision.
Valid driver’s license; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours; Lean principles preferred.
Experience managing subcontractors, budgets and schedules on complex projects.

Responsibilities

Leads safety culture on the project and mentors staff.
Manages subcontractors and overall job workflow.
Oversees staff, subcontractors, suppliers and QA/QC programs.
Develops work plans for self-performed work and coordinates site activities.
Maintains project site care, custody and control and meeting cadence.
Manages project schedule, cost reporting and progress tracking.
Communicates critical project information to owners, design teams and authorities.
Supports closeout activities and project handovers.
Assists in staffing, pursuing opportunities and project negotiations.
