ARCO a Family of Construction Companies is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to oversee field operations on various tilt-up construction projects across the United States. You will manage scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and cost reporting while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5-25 years of experience as a lead superintendent on tilt-up construction projects
• Able to make decisions under tight deadlines
• Able to organize people, tools, and equipment and plan/manage multiple activities
• Demonstrated leadership skills with ability and willingness to face challenges, direct others, and effectively address conflict
• Exhibit commitment to quality by evaluating project-related processes and making necessary changes, using customer input to make improvements, and meeting/exceeding internal and external customer expectations
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and project scheduling programs
• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in your state of residence

Responsibilities

• Attend the post award review meeting to receive project information and details for preplanning
• Prepare a schedule of construction activities and their sequence with project staff and resources
• Direct and control the total construction project to meet specs and schedule
• Coordinate subcontractors to integrate with project schedules and progress
• Inform supervisors and subcontractors promptly of schedule changes
• Prepare job progress and cost reports reflecting actual costs
• Review and approve requisitions, field purchase orders, invoices, and other reports
• Cooperate with owner representatives and architects to support project goals
• Hold jobsite meetings with project manager and regional manager
• Report progress to the project manager and address potential cost/schedule issues
• Maintain a daily diary recording significant project facts and approvals
• Direct adherence to the company’s safety program
