Job summary

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies seeks a Traveling Superintendent to lead field operations on tilt-up and light industrial projects across the United States. The role requires on-site leadership, rigorous scheduling, strict safety discipline, and adherence to project budgets.

You will coordinate subcontractors, manage crews, and report progress and costs to the project manager while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5–25 years of experience as a lead superintendent on tilt-up projects.
• Ability to make decisions under tight deadlines.
• Organize people, tools, and equipment and plan multiple activities.
• Strong leadership and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Attend post award review meetings to receive project information for preplanning.
• Prepare a schedule of construction activities and staffing requirements.
• Direct and control the total construction project to meet specs and schedule.
• Coordinate subcontractors and integrate with project schedules.
• Inform supervisors and subcontractors of schedule changes promptly.
• Prepare progress and cost reports reflecting actual costs.
• Review and approve requisitions, field PO's, invoices, and reports.
• Cooperate with owner representatives and architects to align interests.
• Hold jobsite meetings and report progress to the project manager.
• Maintain a daily diary of significant project facts and events.
• Direct adherence to the company's safety program.
