Job summary

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies seeks an experienced Construction Manager to lead HVAC-heavy projects. You will oversee scheduling, subcontractors, and on-site safety to meet budget and schedule while delivering quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 5–25 years’ construction experience, HVAC coordination skills, and proficiency with Procore, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Travel and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• 5–25 years of construction experience.
• 5+ years on HVAC-heavy commercial or industrial projects or a degree in construction management, engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• Coordinating HVAC and mechanical scopes, including ductwork, piping, equipment setting, and mechanical system installation.
• Experience managing HVAC subcontractors, coordinating trade sequencing, and resolving field conflicts involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural scopes.
• Familiarity with mechanical drawings, specifications, equipment submittals, RFIs, and installation requirements.
• Experience coordinating HVAC equipment delivery, installation, startup, testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB), and commissioning activities.
• Identify potential mechanical scope conflicts, schedule constraints, and installation issues early.
• Understanding HVAC quality control requirements, jobsite safety procedures, and applicable construction codes and standards.
• Experience coordinating with project managers, engineers, design teams, commissioning agents, and owners.
• OSHA certification and proficiency with safety protocols; proficiency with Procore is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend post-award review meeting to receive project information and details for preplanning.
• Develop a schedule of construction activities and their sequence with the project manager.
• Direct and control the total construction project to meet specifications and schedule while ensuring profitability.
• Assist the project manager/engineer with material shipments and approvals of shop drawings and samples.
• Coordinate subcontractors to integrate with project schedules and progress.
• Inform supervisors and subcontractors promptly of schedule changes.
• Assist in preparing job progress and cost reports to reflect actual costs.
• Review and approve requisitions, field POs, invoices, and other reports.
• Cooperate with the owner and representatives, maintaining informed status of progress.
• Cooperate with architects or owner representatives in the long-term interest of the company.
• Hold job site meetings with the project manager and regional manager.
• Report regularly to the project manager on progress, plans, and issues that could affect costs/schedules.
• Maintain a daily diary of significant project facts, events, and approvals.
• Direct adherence to the company’s safety program across all phases.
