Talent Solutions Partners seeks a traveling field technician to test, troubleshoot, and commission high-voltage substation equipment across the Midwest. The role covers LV through HV systems up to 765 kV, with per diem and overtime benefits.

Expect to inspect transformers, switchgear, GIS/SF6 breakers, and perform HV tests using specialized equipment. Valid driving license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on substation experience (69–345 kV) with relays, breakers, transformers and controls.
• NETA Level II–IV preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% with per diem.

Responsabilités

• Test, troubleshoot and commission LV through HV systems, up to 765 kV.
• Test switchgear and breakers, including SF6 gas breakers and GIS.
• Inspect, test and repair transformers, from small units up to large power transformers.
• Run power factor and other HV test sets, and test cable installations.
• Commission and troubleshoot control and transfer schemes.
