Millennium Health in Kenai, Alaska is seeking a Specimen Collector II to join our accredited specialty laboratory. The role involves collecting urine and oral fluid specimens, processing and packaging them for shipping, and acting as a liaison between clinics and the lab.

This is a full-time position requiring male candidates for observed collections, travel, and strict adherence to HIPAA and security policies. Training provided, competitive benefits offered.

Qualificações

• 6+ months of specimen collector experience or 1+ year in medical field
• 2+ years of customer service experience can substitute medical experience
• Proficient with smartphones and computers
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Experience with medical billing/diagnostic codes is a plus
• Must adhere to HIPAA, HiTrust, confidentiality and compliance policies

Responsabilidades

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens
• Process and package collections for shipping
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory
• Record patient information, physician orders and lab data
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in portals
• Order and maintain collection supplies onsite
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens as needed
• Travel to multiple facilities; occasional overnight coverage
