Job summary

Millennium Health in Anchorage, Alaska is seeking a Full Time Specimen Collector II. The role involves collecting urine and oral fluid specimens, processing and shipping samples, and serving as the liaison between clinicians and the lab.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of specimen collector experience or 1+ year in medical field supporting patients.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician order details, and lab information.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens when applicable.
• Driving to multiple facilities may be required and occasional overnight coverage.
