Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Full Time Specimen Collector in Anchorage, AK. The role involves collecting urine and oral fluid specimens, processing and shipping collections, and acting as a liaison between clinicians and the lab to ensure accurate patient information and testing workflow.

Ideal candidates have 6+ months in specimen collection or 1+ year in medical support, plus strong customer service. A valid driver’s license and comfort with smartphones/computers are required, with benefits

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in the medical field supporting patients preferred.
• 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate a smartphone and computer required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• HIPAA/HiTrust compliance awareness is expected.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as an intermediary between the practice/clinic and the laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician orders, and lab details.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in the ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens as applicable.
• Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required.
