Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Part-Time Specimen Collector in Wasilla, Alaska. You will collect urine and oral fluid specimens and help manage the transition of specimens between clinics and our laboratory.

The role requires strict HIPAA/compliance adherence, strong customer service skills, and readiness to drive between facilities as needed. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of specimen collector experience or 1+ year in medical field preferred
• 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience
• Demonstrated ability to navigate a smartphone and computer
• Valid driver’s license required; reliable transportation
• HIPAA/HiTrust/compliance knowledge and awareness required
• Ability to meet background checks and pre-employment screenings
• Physical requirements: sitting 60%, walking 20%, standing 20%, lifting up to 20 lbs

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens
• Process and package collections for shipping
• Serve as intermediary between clinic and laboratory
• Record patient information, physician orders, and lab details
• Resolve specimen-related concerns with billing or patient information
• Order and maintain collection supplies onsite
• Observe collection procedures for Millennium Health specimens
• Travel to multiple facilities as needed
