Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Special Education Competency Assessment due within first 90 days.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible to accommodate varying student schedules and needs.
• Maintain FERPA confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Willingness to travel to CSIU classrooms in Sunbury and Lewisburg.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education teachers with instructional and non-instructional tasks under supervision.
• Support autistic, emotional, life skills and multiple disabilities classrooms.
• Supervise pupils in school and community settings as assigned.
• Utilize positive behavior strategies to manage student behavior.
• Maintain records and complete paperwork, including progress monitoring.
• Collaborate with IEP teams to develop educational programs.
• Attend staff meetings and communicate with families and teachers.
