Job summary

Erie’s Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator/Teacher Assistant for a traveling role on a 9-month term. The incumbent will reinforce instruction, guide skill practice, and provide tutorial support under the direction of the classroom teacher and Special Education Supervisor.

The position requires certification or higher education as listed, with strong collaboration skills and the ability to intervene in crisis situations. Physical requirements and lifting may be needed.

Qualifications

• First Aid & CPR certification required or equivalent.
• Ability to collaborate with educators and students.
• Knowledge of district policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate small group instructional activity as directed by classroom teacher.
• Supervise and monitor students as directed by classroom teacher.
• Assist with clerical duties and crisis intervention as needed.
• Implement behavior modification programs for students.
